Questions? Comments? Here are some things to note first:
I am not a patristics scholar, nor do I have an intimate knowledge of
St. Chrysostom's writings. Everything that I know about the saint is on
this site, and there is a good bit which this site links to that I haven't
read yet. If you ask me questions like, "Where can I find where St. John
said _____?", I will probably not know the answer. Let me say that again:
I very likely do not know where to find quotes you may be
searching for.
When asked, I typically just go searching in Google
just like everyone else (which means you can, too).
I am not a Latin or Greek scholar, either, so questions about
translations will most likely go right over my head. I have a very small
knowledge of those languages (a little Greek and less Latin), but I don't
know enough to be able to analyze translations.
I am not a professor. In fact, I only have a Bachelor's degree in
English Literature, along with a few minors. I probably don't know enough
to help you with your research or your homework.
All the images on the icons page, with only one
or two exceptions, are ones I found while searching on the web; I don't
really remember where I found most of them. That means you don't need my
permission to use them. You may well need someone else's permission, but
I don't know who you'd ask. (If you are one of the copyright holders and
wish me to take down an image, please do not hesitate to inform me, and I
will do so.) I also don't have any higher resolution copies than what you
see when you click on the thumbnails on the page.
I maintain this site in my spare time, updating it as I find new
material on the Internet. If, after noting these things, you still feel
that your question or comment is properly directed toward me, feel free
to email me, but be prepared
for a very likely "I don't know" in response.
May Christ be close to you, and may our sainted Father John Chrysostom
pray for you!
